FELIX GILES is an artist based in Balmoral, Tāmaki Makaurau. His practice includes an eclectic variety of mediums, craft and trade skills allowing for the limitless exploration of material visible throughout his work. Giles translates a lifelong drawing practice into a multiplicity of mediums and presentations styles, particularly ceramic and textile works. Giles developed the ability to adapt drawing to material form across a visual arts degree at the Auckland University of Technology where he became increasingly interested in the craft and decorative aesthetics now visible in his practice.
